A Christmas Dream Revealed
This is the most thoughtful gift that I've ever received. Curtis spent so much time and energy on this blog and really made this a great Christmas. I have the best husband ever! Now, I have to admit, when he first showed me the site, I wasn't 100% on board. It's a nice thought, but one of those ideas that just kind of float around in your head without a real action plan. So, now what? Is this something I really WANT to do? Is this something I really CAN do? The running seems to be the worst so I decided to start there and see how it goes. And, Curtis said he was with me all the way....so here WE go!

Merry Christmas Sweet!
Well, it is here. I don’t know if you know it or not, but I have been building you a Triathlon Training Blog. Did you figure it out? Am I busted? This is all about encouraging you to not only Chase the Dreams, but to catch one. Here you will find Tools, Links, Training Log, Race Dates, man you name it, I think I have found it. BUT, there is always more. This is here for you. To help, to guide and to keep you motivated. I hope you LOVE IT. Check it out. I will Tri to keep it up. I love you. Merry Christmas. Now let’s go running. I know it’s cold. It might be raining, snow on the ground, maybe this is not the best choice. But what pic do you want on the blog later today? Couch or Run? You make the call. Remember, I am here to push you. I am here to make sure you achieve your goal. Do you remember what it is? Can you say it? Merry Christmas.

Run Melissa Run!
It has been a long time sense we have been running, but last night it happened. It was only a mile, but it was a mile. Me, you and Daisy pounding the pavement. Then back to the house for a Cross Fit 21-15-9. Then on to the couch for pizza, whisky and a movie! Only one more day of work before the holidays. Love you.

Nike Denmark Rep, Ole Estrada
Yesterday we spent the day with Ole, our friend from Denmark. We spent a few hours climbing and catching up. We hadn't seen Ole in over 3 years. As it turns out, Ole has started running and has really got in to it. It didn’t take long for Melissa to start talking about how she had trained for a Marathon in the past, but backed off after hitting 18 miles in a training session.
Ole had a really neat tool that he is using to track his running. He is using the Nike Running Pod that interfaces with his IPod. Melissa was mesmerized and the Christmas list just got a little longer.

Christmas Shopping Day!
Plus, Grandma is arriving at the airport tonight. And we need to go climbing in Mineral Wells. A training ride would also be good, but first we should clean the house. Penera's sounds great for breakfast. Hey, we also need to start sorting gear and packing for our Ice Climbing Trip. I think I will start working on the work bench in the gym (fyi - it is really a place to keep your bike/tri stuff). I better change the laundry. And it is just about time to get you out of bed. Dang - it is going to be a busy day! Maybe we can do all of our shopping at REI and Richardson's Bike Mart : )

Stressed
There is way too much working going on for Melissa. If she only knew that the countdown is on to a triathlon . . . and that within a couple weeks she would be training for a Ironman . . . Well, I am really itching to tell her that all this stress stuff is coming to a close because this Ironman thing is going to change your life baby.
p.s. I like your baking. The cookies were great!

It happened again
Yesterday, on a phone call with your sister. She told you that she is planning to run a Slacker Marathon in Colorado. Before the conversation had ended you had told her how you HAD wanted to run a Marathon and had trained up to 18 miles. Then you told her how your GOAL is to do an IRONMAN. You challenged her to walk 2.5 miles right then. We bundled up and took off out the door. She went walking too.

You have got to leave the wine alone
Harsh Morning for the Reeves household. Melissa had a solo with the wine bottle last night and paid for it this morning. I felt really sorry for her, but to tell you the true – it is in her genes. Total DNA issue from her mom’s side of the family. She did take me to the doctor and the horse chiropractor this morning (no joke Horse Chiropractor). All of her laughing helped wear off the Red Wine Blues.
FYI - My back is a pain in the back : ) I mush of just twisted it wrong or something. The quick fix from Dr. Horse Doctor, is ice 10 mins on 20 mins off for 48 Freaking Hours. Worse thing than that - I am typing with ice on my back.

You think about it all the time
Just a couple days ago we were watching The Biggest Loser. They ran a clip about a past contestant (Matt Hoover) that participated in the 2009 Ironman in Kona. We were both shocked, buy your wheels were turning. Next on The Biggest Loser the Final Four ran a Full Marathon. Then you said, I wish I would have done that. The (would have thing), well, we don’t need to say that.
FYI – Tri Training starts in 22 days, but you don’t know that do you : )
